U.S pre-clearance is coming to Riyadh and Jeddah Airports

The pre-clearance facility will speed up entry to the country for passenger arrival in the United States of America.
U.S will reportedly set up customs and border protection pre-clearing facility soon at Riyadh and Jeddah’s airports to process passengers before they arrive in the country. As per the sources, these facilities will allow passengers to undertake all immigration, agriculture and customs inspection before departure.
Did you know? Currently the only airport in the region with a US-pre clearing facility is Abu-Dhabi International Airport. It processed nearly 615,000 people traveling to the U.S in 2015.
What are the benefit of the pre-clearance facility?
1. The passengers will be able to check their baggage for their final destination.
2. Their flight then lands at domestic arrivals upon the arrival in U.S for faster processing and entry to the country.
3. It will save you from a lot of hassle as usually waiting times at U.S immigration can be an hour long during peak seasons, with queues notoriously long.
