Rain-seeking prayers held across Saudi Arabia

Rain-seeking prayers were performed on Thursday across Saudi Arabia. This was in response to a call from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman following the Tradition of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

At the Grand Mosque in Makkah, those who offered prayers included Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah and advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Sheikh Abdurahman Al-Sudais, head of the Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. Sheikh Badar Bin Abdul Aziz Balaila, imam and khateeb of the Grand Mosque, led the prayer and delivered the sermon.
Rain-seeking prayers were also offered at thousands of mosques in various regions of the Kingdom. In their sermons, imams called on believers to supplicate to Allah Almighty for forgiveness and repentance, do good deeds and charities, and pray for rainfall.
